Today's cheap Goodwill Outlet finds

I found the special 1/4" to USB cable some time ago over there but just needed the software. It wasn't in the usual bins but was up behind the counter. Most items up there had prices on them, including some ancient XBox 360 games that were marked $10 and $20 each. This one wasn't marked, and when I asked the cashier about it he looked at it, shrugged, and tossed it into my basket, meaning that I got it for the same $1.39/lb, so in this case it was probably about two bits, if that.
I don't have an electric guitar but I still have my classic '80s-vintage Peavey T-45 bass, but I don't know if it'll work - this version of Rocksmith, unlike several others I've seen, doesn't mention anything about bass on the packaging.
The next interesting thing I grabbed was the box cover for a Lego set 114. Once again, it cost next to nothing, and will make a cool piece of artwork and will bring back some memories as I probably had this
set back in the '70s. I might frame it - who knows. The last interesting thing was a little piece of paper, so given the weight it probably cost me a penny or two. The paper came out of the case for the movie Horrible Bosses. The disc was missing, but the paper had a code for a free digital version of the movie. It said to redeem the code by 3/11/16, but I decided to take a chance on it just in case that really didn't matter. I created the necessary account but couldn't log in, forgetting that my VPN was set to Japan. Once I disconnected I was able to login and redeem the code and it was accepted without issue even though I missed the alleged cutoff date by nearly five years. I figured that it was worth a shot and that I really wouldn't be out much if it failed. Couldn't hurt to try, right? It's a lot like fast food coupons - the expiration date really doesn't matter as they reuse the same codes month after month, so if the code is still in their system it'll work without issue.

@6mt_ftw Ha, crazy it still worked and crazy the website was still up. Seems like you really scored with the Lego box as some artwork.

@6mt_ftw Those are some great finds. I'll be honest, a lot of my wardrobe is furnished by Goodwill and other related thrift stores. I'm a sucker for Hawaiian button ups and they have plenty there

@i86hotdogs Oh, heck yeah. In the last few years I have bought a couple of pairs of pants from Costco but I think everything else is from thrift stores. I, too, am a big fan of Aloha shirts and have at least two dozen and even in the dead of winter I still wear them as a reminder of warmer days to come. Well, that and I'm lazy and don't like to iron so most of my wardrobe sits in the closet, wrinkled...
Coming from SoCal you would think that Midwest winters would freak me out, but I really don't even bother with a jacket unless the temps get into the low 30s. I have this beautiful wool winter coat that my mom sent me when I first moved out here, but I don't think it's been out of the closet in the last five or six years; my old fleece safety jacket from an airline job a decade ago is all that I've really needed.
