I Quit My Job (Car Picture Time!!!)
-
Today, I left my job at a Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM dealership. I’d been working there for eight months. This was a serious decision that required a lot of thought and talks with my parents, but we agreed it was best for me to go. I don’t want to talk about why I left. All I’ll say is that I ended on good terms.
Instead, here’s a photo dump of all the cool cars I saw working there!
2020 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody with basically every option. Probably my personal favorite new vehicle ever on the lot due to the equipment.
2020 Dodge Durango SRT, also in a nice color with nice equipment. This car actually got dealer traded for the blue Challenger above.
2020 Dodge Charger Scat Pack in Sinamon Stick with the Brass Monkey wheels. Not enough equipment for me, but a nice car. Scat Pack cars are a hot commodity. Crazy performance for around $40K.
2014 Audi Q7 trade-in. This car didn’t seem to fully match the Premium Plus or the Prestige, but a lot of people were interested in it. That’s how I knew it didn’t seem to match a trim.
2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. This was the first car I saw in Smoke Show. Destroyer Gray, the color before Smoke Show, was sought after on these cars.
A beautiful 2015 or 2016 Ford F-150 Lariat in Blue Jeans that someone traded in for a Jeep. This is probably my favorite truck that’s been on the lot. It had a problem, so it got shipped to auction. Bummer.
I have more photos, so if anyone wants any, please let me know! I saw a lot of cool stuff.

@trumpybear You bastard. You could have at least sold me a Jeep for practically free before quitting lol.
Good luck on your new pursuits, whatever they may be!
-
Cheers to bigger and better things for you going forward!

@trumpybear
So now you tell us after your employee discount evaporates. Sigh. Bye bye purple Charger Hellcat.
Well whatever your reason for leaving, what exciting life adventure is next?
-
@carsoffortlangley I was gonna post a Jeep my manager ordered over the summer. It was a two-door manual that didn’t even have air conditioning.
I scrolled through my camera roll and found it. This one got traded away, too, but someone bought the gray one that came in just like it.
-
@chariotoflove I’m in a financial and life position where I can sustain myself without a full-time job temporarily. I’m going to continue delivering food, while me and Trumpy Bear are gonna scour the job market and college connections for potential positions.
-
@trumpybear 6 months ago, I would have been all in on that. Now, I do need an unlimited...and AC, I don't think I could do without again.
-
@trumpybear Ah, free lancing. Well, good luck then!
-
@chariotoflove I didn’t want to get to this point, but it did, unfortunately. The market is a lot better around here than it was in April, so I have that going for me. I searched for a job at a bad time for a lot of people.
-
@trumpybear What kinds of jobs are you looking at? Something with growth potential or a just for now kind of thing?
-
@chariotoflove More growth. There are some companies I’m looking into. I purposely didn’t share my employment with the CDJR store until I left, but that Pacifica I drove for a day gave a hint haha.
-
@trumpybear I've been watching enough MotorTrend content (mostly Roadkill / Garage) that my want for something that will do amazing smoky burnouts is getting close to eclipsing my BMW E28 love. But then I think "I'm in my mid-40's and DON'T host an internet show, so where am I really going to do huge smoky burnouts safely?".
That said, good luck with future endeavors. Sounds like you already have a good financial head on your shoulders, but my advice (when you get to a new job) is save early and often.
-
@trumpybear i would have quickly been fired for peeling off all the bananas.
-
@trumpybear Back in the mid-80s, I spent a summer working for a Chevy dealership. Much of the job was great, but a lot of it also really sucked. The great part was that I was working for the leasing division, and we leased all sorts of high end cars that I got to drive. First time I ever got up to 100 mph was in a customer's leased 911. But my boss sucked, the grunt work of washing and cleaning the cars was a drag, many of my coworkers were assholes, it was hot as hell in the uniform, etc. The lot was ringed with Chevrolet flags, and I stole one on my last day. It's hanging in my garage.

I love, Love, LOVE that 'Hellraisin' purple, we'll be having my wife's car painted that color in the next year or two.
-
@trumpybear Dodge sure makes some nice car colors
-
@brickman Gold Rush on the 50th Challenger is a favorite. I’m excited for Gecko to roll into showrooms. It’s a good thing they don’t make Mojito Jeeps with the sky one-touch top because I’d want a Jeep!
