I want to create the daily Latrine Post. Of course, we can't be sure all our members can hold it in long enough to get to the Latrine. Some of us aren't well potty trained.

Seriously, if there is anything I hated with the old site, it was random shit post and theme days. Post after post after post of low quality content, hiding potentially good topics.

I understand your point, and there is merit to it. There are many who share your view. I should point out though, while there was a restriction on theme day posts, there was never one on shit posting. So, by the old rules, today's spate of such would have been allowed on Kinjoppo too.

I do think it's perfectly acceptable for you or others to come on and say something. No one should think you a party pooper for doing so. It's even better to think up some actual content to break up the turd flow, if you have the time and opportunity. Since these pipe blockages tend to be sporadic and easily plunged though, we hesitate to make a rule.

A note about the quality content you mention: we absolutely want that good stuff to get all the views it deserves, and we are working on better ways to present that. Right now, we sometimes temporarily pin stuff, and we want to get a "best-of" list going too. So, we hear you, and we'll be working toward a way to do that while balancing out the goofiness.
