After much soul searching on ways to replace the SEMA-spec Sony unit in my e30, I have landed on a decision, and today it landed on my doorstep. It's an OEM head unit with integrated Bluetooth, and the cassette still works! I'll have do dig around to see if I have any of those left.Looks and feels great. There's nothing like an OEM volume knob. I don't know why, but no aftermarket radio knob has the heft of an OEM knob, even though most of the oem radios are made by Alpine, Blaupunkt, and other suppliers who also sell under their own name.
Wiring is going to be a real pain. I haven't done much audio wiring beyond plug and play stuff. and will have to procure an OEM pigtail...
