As you all know I'm in the process of buying a house and moving nearly a thousand miles from where I am today in Detroit. I only have limited parking at the new place - not to mention limited funds - so it's sadly time for my Corvette to go. I've tried to figure out how I could keep it but it just doens't make financial or practical sense to do so, especially since I've still got my Trans Am to occupy my time.

Please, someone buy it off me so I don't have to deal with the public. Here's a paste of my FB Marketplace ad, an oppo discount is not reflected in this asking price (Detroit is a very strong market for used corvettes)

For sale: My 1993 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 40th Anniversary Edition with the 6-Speed manual and factory color-matched hard top. The car was owned by a single owner until this year. I’ve been using the car all summer as my daily driver, today it has 95,000 miles and I’ve put a thousand of those on during my ownership. The car has been incredibly reliable for me and it drives perfectly, I intended to keep the car long term however life had different plans.

      Pros:
Includes the rare factory color matching convertible hardtop in great shape
Convertible soft top is in fantastic shape - no water or wind leaks!
No check engine lights or trouble codes and the engine burns no oil
      All dashboard electronics function perfectly
The ZF6 manual transmission shifts perfectly
No suspension/steering slop or any noises - drives down the road straight and true
      ABS/Traction Control/Cruise Control all work
      Clean CarFax

      Recently Completed Maintenance:
All new brakes - master cylinder, hard lines, calipers, rotors, pads - 2022
      Headlight motors rebuilt - 2022
      Starter rebuilt - 2022
Full tune up - plugs, wires, all fluids, all filters - 2021
      Four new tires - 2021
      New battery - 2019

      Known Issues:
      The AC blows warm
There is wear on the driver's side lower seat bolster
      Antenna does not retract completely
      Emergency brake isn’t 100% tight

      Asking $11,250

@Bandit Damn, if you were any closer (and I wasn't saving for a house) I'd be all over that like white on a New Balance shoe.

The person reading this is a doo-doo head

@EssExTee Honestly it's turned out to be such a dang good car, I bought it to flip but fell for it hard.

@Bandit You're just a few states too far away for me or I would be interested. i have a coastline that that car would be perfect for cruising.

Mr.Ontop. Keepin' it real since before your were you were born probably.

@Bandit I love those. I thought you'd originally bought it with the intention of fixing it up and selling it? I guess it grew on you!

Edit: confirmed by your comment! haha. I wish I could take it.

@Bandit Sadly my mullet, gold chain, jorts, and New Balances haven't arrived yet, so I'll have to pass.

@Bandit I can offer you an atrociously lopsided trade of a 2012 V-Star 250 with some very light crash damage. At least you can fit that in a moving truck 😉

Yeah I have not sold the Z, I don't want to but I don't have a garage and it's more like owning a boat. I have to go down and uncover it, check it over, get it started.. Then put it back when I'm done or keep it overnight and put it back. Dogs hate it, my wife only wants to ride in it once in a while. The truck I'm working on will be useful for the boats and carrying things. I love the thing but I keep paying for storage and barely get to use it. My friend is going to do a couple things it needs after the truck is done but that seems far away. At least they have gone up in value since I bought it before what seems like a boom. But I'd probably never get an early 240Z again if I sold it.

@Shop-Teacher My wife loves the corvette, she would be less than happy with me dead on the side of the road due to a motorcycle crash. I'd probably be sad too...

@Bandit I lived! Helmets FTMFW! I rode 20 miles back, and walked my ass into the ER 🙂

I'm meeting someone in a couple hours who will hopefully buy it. Well, hopefully meeting someone. I had another person no-show a couple hours ago, because people suck.
