@ttyymmnn I was about to make a cutting remark about there only being nine hundred some-odd people in the town, but Parsons, Kansas was actually a major railroad hub and was actually quite important until Katy Ind. was sold to Union Pacific in 1988 and the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant was BRAC'ed in 2005.

It's amazing how many ideas we think are new are actually very old. The Tweel isn't looking so cutting edge anymore. IIRC, solid tires were actually quite common back then. I imagine these rode better though.
