A beautiful 1993 Mazda 929, 85.000 miles and $5,900. God, I wish I could buy a car right now. It would be totally unpractical, probably unreliable and have unavailable parts, but damn she pretty. link text

@dealkillerpoweredbyfocus the looks on that have aged surprisingly well. Still seems like a crazy high price even though it's so clean.

It always amazes me to look at luxury in that age compared to now. We’ve come so far with materials. Yet, the idea of simple elegance persists. The design still has style.

@dealkillerpoweredbyfocus my stepfather had a previous generation 929 wagon back in the early 80s...so these newer ones always seemed like anonymous blobs to me.

@jminer 6k for a clean running driving car really doesn't seem that outrageous to me. If it is overpriced, I would say maybe by a grand or so. Maybe my view has been skewed by my cars.

@e90m3 this is Oppo. Any car over 3k is outrageously overpriced here.

@cataphract There are some of us who think that. The least I've paid for a car is 16k.

@e90m3 Clean running at $6k is no problem at all, but it's the 27 years old that gives me pause at that price.

@dealkillerpoweredbyfocus I'd show up with 45 $100 bills and stand firm. Looks like a great example, but I suspect nobody is knocking his door down for it.

I agree with you, it's a great $4500 car. Maybe ok to go up to $4800, if the car checks out and the want is strong.
