30 day Photography Challenge (will update as days go by)!
-
Starting my thread for the 30 day Photography challenge, and I will update this post as I complete days. I might go a couple days between updates, but do everything I can to either 1.) Take a new photo each day, or 2.) Take a photo specifically for this challenge (potentially multiple a day, but didn't exist before starting the challenge). Edit: Added photo settings
Without further Ado....
Day 1, Self Portrait.
Day 2, Rule Of Thirds.
Nikon D750, 70-200mm F/4G VR, 200mm, F4 , 1/125, ISO 2800 - super edited.
Day 3, Black and White.
Nikon D750, 70-200mm F/4G VR, 100mm, F7.1 1/320, ISO 100 - super edited.
Day 4, Texture
Nikon D750, 70-200mm F/4G VR, 200mm, F4, 1/125, ISO 2500 - Hella super edited.
Day 5, High Angle - Had to pull this one from the back catalogue, but I did re-edit it so it's at least my fresh take.
Nikon D750, 85mm F/1.8G, 85mm, F1.8, 1/125, ISO 640 - mild edit
Day 6, Low Angle - Also had to pull this from the back catalogue, been really busy after work and not had enough time to take any new photos. Tomorrow I'm out at a park all day with a camp fire, so I'll be taking a lot of new photos.
Nikon D750, 70-200mm F/4G , 116mm, F5. 1/640, ISO 500 - mild Edit.
Day 7, Silhouette - Guilty, no time again. Still, I happen to have the shot from the past, and probably would have done the same thing again.
Nikon D750, 70-200mm F/4G, 200mm, F4, 1/200, ISO2500 - Flash behind car, camera on tripod. Super heavy edit.
Day 8, Sunset. My boy, Hughman.
Nikon D750, 85mm F1.8G, F2.8, 1/640th, ISO 125. - Mild edit.
Day 9, Bokeh. One of the great pleasures in my life.
Nikon D750, 85mm F1.8G, F4, 1/200, ISO 100. - Mild Edit.
Day 10 , Lens flare - Awaiting sunlight...
Day 11 - Landscape. False Creek Vancouver Panorama.
Nikon D750, 24-70mm F2.8G, F8, 30 seconds x3, ISO100 - File Merge and Auto Fill edges.
Day 12, Portrait -Ninjaspy at the Rickshaw - Back Catalogue, fresh edit.

@someoneatacura Self portrait, eh. That's surprisingly good. You look just a little like Ron Swanson's younger hipper brother in all the best ways.

super edited
Haha I'm going to use that. Happy I haven't had to edit much so far. Can't tell if it is because I'm paying more attention to my settings and actually shooting full manual, or the D750 is really that much better than the D7000.

There is some photographers that snub their nose at post processing, but in the digital era, it's the same thing as developing film, and buying specific film as well. it's necessary, and how bring out your photos full potential. I'm finding that I'm using edits to make up for a specific lens setting/choice that was necessary for the shot I want. I keep wanting to mix it up glass wise, but the 70-200 focal length is just so damn good on a FX sensor.
The D750 itself very good. Aside from some certain enhancements with more modern imaging sensors, it's as good as anything out there when it comes to dynamic range. BSI-CMOS sensors have the edge in high ISO, but when lighting is good, no other 24mp sensor will beat it.

@someoneatacura Oh for sure on processing. I don't judge* or even mind tweaking my photos. My issue with my D7000 was I was making the same adjustments to every photo, which felt like at that point either I or the camera was failing to take the photos I wanted. With the D750 I feel like the photos I take are 95% there, which is a good feel.
*Ok some photos I judge... but nothing here -
