Brake caliper dimensions — where do I find ‘em?
-
I’m looking into emailing a few wheel companies I know to confirm fitment of some 17” wheels they make versus my Camaro’s brakes. Supposedly “brake caliper template” drawings can be found online such that the company can check against their CAD drawings if the wheels will fit.
I can’t for the life of me find a template/dimension drawing for my setup. I’ve got the 4-piston Brembo brakes, but I don’t know the other dimensions and my internet searching has been fruitless so far. I’m further confused by the fact that this “J55” brake package is supposedly different diameters depending on application. For example, a Cadillac ATS equipped with “J55” brakes has a different size rotor than a Camaro SS with “J55” brakes.
Anyone here have experience finding specs for brakes?

@way2blu measure the radius from center to outside of caliper and then maybe offset from outside of caliper to mounting face of the rotor? They might be able to go off that?
-
@powderhound That’s a fair starting point, I’ll see what kind of dimensions I can get for that.

No luck for yours, but doesn't the 4cyl 1LE have the SS calipers and rotors? The caliper is supposed to be the same, the rotor diameter I'm guessing. What you need looks like this, which oddly I could find for the 5th Gen Camaro SS (I think) but not a 6th Gen.

@looseonexit that’s right, the 4 cylinder 1LE shares the same brakes as the base (non-1LE) Camaro SS. That drawing looks convincing, but I agree there’s no way to tell if it includes 2016-2021 models though.
