It looks way, way better now.

The 3964291 heads (which are what it has) were used on late 1969-1970 L78 396/375HP, 1969 L72 427/425HP, 1969 L71 427/435HP, and 1970 LS6 454/450HP engines. They were also replacements for all other BBC cast iron rect. port closed chamber heads.

There was one loose rocker arm. I adjusted it, but due to the cold and a dying battery charger, I couldn't start the car to determine if that was the source of my noise. I doubt it but I can hope.

@jrc99 i think you are now obligated to get a cast aluminum air cleaner to match.

M/T valve covers are a fantastic look. If you want to really hit the wayback button, replace the air cleaner with one of those triangular foam-element jobs (that always seem to catch on fire and don't really filter all that well). On second thought, it's fine as is.

@old-busted-hotness I hate those triangles. Dad's first car had one. It melted into the carb, of course.

@Italia Nah, I like the chrome one. I just got it as well.

@Everyone else, thank you for the compliments!

Just a small update. I fired it for a minute. Sounds like it's got a header leak, but that loose rocker was indeed the issue for the knock. When it gets warmer, I'll change the oil. try to perfect the timing, and motorwise she's good.
