My wife gets me

One of the things my wife likes to do, is randomly change the name on my Netflix profile. The best is when Netflix sends me emails.
It's been Tits McGee for a while now. I wonder what it'll be next?

@ttyymmnn School was fine. As predicted, no behavioral issues. I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off all morning, since my clearance to go back into the building came so late, I was really not ready.
Also as predicted, multiple kids at home today sat in the waiting room of the zoom call that wasn't happening for the whole period, instead of doing the asynchronous assignment I posted.
One of my favorite students switched to full remote, so that made me a bit bummed.
All in all, glad to be back.

@ttyymmnn So much for COVID teaching us that snow days are unnecessary since we can just do remote schooling in bad weather...

Exactly why I didn't think they'd cancel. I guess some of the teachers weren't prepared to teach from home. Austin ISD went 100% virtual today and had school anyway.

I'm surprised too. I doubt we'll ever have a snow day again in my district. In the before times, I almost never brought my school laptop home. With google drive and my home desktop, I could deal for a day or two if need be.

Abso-freaking-lutely we have favorites! All the BS we deal with, did anyone believe for a second we don't favor the students who make our lives easier?
-
@shop-teacher All my teachers always said "no we don't pick favorites" but deep down inside I always knew...

Think of it like dealing with a cop. If a cop pulls you over, and you're cool, they might cut you a break. If you're a dick? No dice.
If you follow rule #1, you're golden.

@shop-teacher when my wife and I were dating we named a cat Bitch Tits. He was usually called BT and if anyone asked we told them his name was Bacon Tater.
He stayed with my roommate when I moved in with here. He was a chill cat. -
@hfv lol! Nice.
-
@shop-teacher Haha, we do a similar thing when ordering things for each other.
-
@tripper That's great!
-
Speaking of... where is Vajazzle McDildertits, of whatever his name was?

I always knew too. I always knew it wasn't me.
I was the "rebel without a clue"......

Not really. I was actually very reserved and just didn't care. The teachers were all pretty cool, but I just hated school - "waste of my time".
I never participated (by choice) never did any homework, aced all the tests and floated by with a "C" in most classes. Probably annoyed the teachers that I could do well, I just didn't care. Took me a few years to grow up, I finally did - just later than I should have.
My former teachers would be shocked to learn what I do now. Hell, younger me would be too
If I had the chance, I would apologize and thank them for trying.
-
@trivet Gotcha. I wouldn't catigorize that as rebellious, more of "can't be bothered."
I tend not to worry about smart kids who don't apply themselves. Either they'll pull themselves together and be fine ... Or they won't.
I'll give you an example. My childhood best friend was a total screw up. Smart, but barely graduated high school. About a year out of high school, he got his shit together. He's now a Major in the Army.
