Today my tire went a bit low, which made me think about expenses a bit more.
Which reminded me that something broke in my head or something but now I want a truly innovative American truck.
Originally I wanted a diesel Amarok, but I'm not sure that's the best thing because it might be a bit old. Same is true of the Tacoma. On the other hand the Ranger sold in Mexico (as far as I remember) is not the American version with the cool engines. I'll be dammed before buying a Frontier.
So... I guess I'm gonna go looking for a Ridgeline.

@tae shoot, I’ve got an Autotrader tab open to ridgelines as we speak. I had an 09 and really like the buttress styling but the 14’s aren’t much cheaper than a 17/18.
-
@snakesm13 yeah, that style was really nice, the one that looks like the pilot is a bit too weird for me, I really liked the facelift.
-
@tae $18k out the door.
74,000 miles and it’s the highest trim level. It’s very nice.
-
@highlander That's nice, plus it looks like an unusual color, so I really like it.

The 2021 looks way more like a mainstream truck than any other version.
-
@highlander I REALLY like the new look.
-
@tae the new look is very good IMHO. But I don’t have $40k ready to plop on a car.

Because of you and your awesome Ridgeline purchase, I'm currently perusing CL. The truck is a bit out of budget for a winter beater, and Honda fits seem a bit pricey for what you get but.... Something like this could carry plywood, a bike, be a camp rig and fit gear on top....

@aestheticsinmotion I'm sure you of all people would run it through its paces. Plus it won't hit the floor offroading like the miata
