While it's usually frowned upon to upbadge your vehicle, I hold an exception if the upbadge is obnoxious. For example, the wife's Chrysler 200 has Hellcat badges. That rules. But cobra badges on a non-cobra Mustang?
To bring you up to speed, my '98 GT had a cobra bumper put on and professionally rattle canned by the previous owner. Even had a cobra badge to match.
Look at that overspray!!Me being me, and always wanting to do something different, I couldn't settle on the basic silver or black Mustang badge.
BBBBOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGFound a hydro dip company that specialized in Mustang badging. HydroDun LLC. They have a huge variety of patterns & colors to choose from. The price premium wasn't too bad either. A standard pony badge runs anywhere from $30-$40. This one was $70 out the door-shipping and all. I'm not familiar with how much the hydro dip process costs to operate, but it seemed reasonable to me. And because I'm a sucker for the stars & stripes, I had to go with this pattern:
Muuuuuch better. Now to clean up those headlights.

@i86hotdogs So are you saying I should festoon the 328i with M badges?
-
@e90m3 ewwwwwwwwwww. Better yet, AMG Badges!
-
@e90m3 oh how I wish I still had McPower decals for you
-
@krustywantout I wouldn't seriously put an M badge on a non M car, but an AMG badge as a joke, now that would be comical.

Look at that overspray!!this is heinous! Do you think you'll be able to actually get that off or will you just get new lights?
-
@e90m3 Or Barabus but AMG would be hilarious. You would just piss off both Merc and BMW fanbois.
-
Nice addition!
This car needs some of those Subaru-style activity badges. I searched around and found a really sad lack of knockoffs out there.
Making Tire Smoke?
Dropping Panties?
Stepping on Snek? That front bumper is an atrocity -- I can't believe they didn't even take it off the car first!

dinan, probably. or, go the other way and get some 318ti badges
-
@ash78 needs something classier, like this:
-
@e90m3 I've never seen it with the pictograms, that's perfect. You cast a wider net for illiterate people that way
#PeakMustang
-
@i86hotdogs should just put the hellcat badge on the mustang. And the cobra one on the 200!
-
@e90m3 BLASPHEMY
-
@tysmagic Can of denatured alcohol might do the trick. If not, I'll find a set somewhere
-
@krustywantout my vote is Maybach badges
-
@i86hotdogs Pretty sure I need a GTR badge for the van....

Even better, badges from competing brands. Such as (stuff I've seen myself) a 1st-gen Ford Escape SS, or an SRT Cruze.
I'd have to admit I kinda want to add Type-R badges to my truck...

I once saw a 1st-gen Fusion with an M badge... flipped upside down. A Fusion W.
-
@Smallbear I had one on my Explorer Sport when I was in high school, as a joke. My friends gave it to me for my 18th birthday. I still have the badge.
-
@i86hotdogs Ah, that's better! And I see no need to lose the Cobra bumper, as it's nowhere near as much of a misrepresentation as the emblem was. That badge had to go, though!

Alpina...
-
@i86hotdogs
Honestly, upon seeing the normal view...I thought it was a zebra. -
@i86hotdogs Oh now that is FANTASTIC!
-
A 328i you say? Now that would be the perfect candidate for something really kinky... like replica EMW badges.
-
@ash78 I really didn't think it needed clarification, but here we are
