@CarsOfFortLangley Among other things, Illinois has one of the highest state fuel taxes in the US.

@CarsOfFortLangley Head down to the NC coast for a week in July, then at some point take the 8 yo on a two night camping trip, maybe see if my brother would be up for coming along, we'll see. That'll about do it.

@CarsOfFortLangley I'm going to crib notes here. I'm on a monthly road trip schedule. Will be in Spokane for July, Portland in August, back up to Seattle then down through California to enjoy the winter in the south.

Where is Oppo heading this summer in their cars?
#notmycar. I delivered my brother's Fusion to his place in South Carolina as part of an elaborate family trip / logistic move. It was nice driving down. I'll be almost sad I'm not driving back myself.

lol I can't afford shit.
I would love to have at least one more adventure this year but I just can't stop getting hit with some new financial emergency every week. I'll be lucky to end up in the black by the end of this year at this rate.
My local Shell station has 87 at $5.90/gal now. It's been going up $.05 a week pretty consistently.

@CarsOfFortLangley I would reserve a ferry spot ASAP. I don't know when it started, but the San Juan started taking reservations some years ago for peak months. The waits are long regardless but the weather will be nice. Bring a book.
Answering your actual question, I love love LOVE Lopez Island. Older crowd with cool old cars. A little less people (compared to San Juan). I've never had a chance to visit any of the other islands.

@CarsOfFortLangley No plans to return to Yakima?
Headed out to the coast Friday, family stuff - loooong drive.
@CarsOfFortLangley Im trying to keep things local with gas prices, particularly since theres so much to see locally anyways. I do want to put tires on the Miata and then take it on a proper camping trip though. Ive been driving it a lot lately (one because the other car is broken) but also because the gas is cheaper and its just so fun. Gotta be either somewhere at elevation or along PCH into Big Sur since anywhere else is too hot in summer.

@CarsOfFortLangley Fly trip+road trips over next couple weeks. Heading to Oahu next week for a week to visit friends and take a couple of our grandkids around the island. When we get back to AZ we’re heading to Sedona and the Grand Canyon followed by a few days lounging around the pool at our house.
Not sure about the rest of the summer. Probably a weekend to Mexico and San Diego.
Not very far at €2.20 per litre….

Wife and I are planning a drive on the Great River Road in the Porsche if we can arrange it. Take a week and see how far we get.
Done parts of this over the years but thought it looked like a good run.

The family in piling into the family hauler and we are headed to the Crested Butte wild flower festival to check it off the wife's list. Swinging around south east-ish Colorado. Royal Gorge, Bishop's Castle, Dunes, with a final stop at the Broadmoor. Should be a fun week. Maybe hit up the alligator's east of Pueblo.

@Shop-Teacher Hey, they managed to legalize weed!
And it's the most expensive stuff in the country, right up there with the illegal market

@CarsOfFortLangley We're hitting the road this weekend. Headed up to Lake Tahoe....simply because we've never been there. Looks like it will be about a 10 hour drive.
