Ireland: Škoda špotted

Some cool cars here but honestly mostly just tiny city cars. That’s a good thing as all the roads are about 6’ wide and shared with tractors. There were a couple awesome diesel land cruisers (No sr20, sorry) and this skoda thing that reminds me of weird teeth:
Bonus cliffs of Moher for your time

Oh boy, you’ve said it now. Svend incoming in 10,9,…
I saw my first Ioniq 5 in Dublin yesterday. In Garda livery, no less. Gotta say, it didn’t do it any favours - all the hi-viz made the gloss plastic trim look really plasticky.

@іди-на-хуй-Влад-formerly-known-as-Distraxi I love slides and wanted to rent an Octavia but this grille is… not ideal
-
@beefchips Depends what you’re comparing it to, I guess. By Lexus or current BMW standards, or the standards of any random American pickup, it’s positively svelte. By actual aesthetic standards, no, I agree. If you’re going to put a fake grille on a car, you could put in at least a little bit more effort to suggest it might be real.

@іди-на-хуй-Влад-formerly-known-as-Distraxi
Surprised it took you so long to see an Ioniq - they're all over like a rash along with the Kia equivalent. -
@beefchips
That is an all electric Skoda Enyaq.
The grille on it is a love it or hate it thing. But for me, a grille is part of the face. Teslas lack of a grille is like a face without a mouth.
The Skoda Octavia has, to me, a nicer front end.
I like the Octavia above, but I'm biased, as I placed an order for one in the same colour, spec and bodystyle last November and still waiting for a build date for the bloody thing.

@beefchips I need more pictures of tiny Euro city cars please!!!
-
@RallyDarkstrike it’s dark here right now but will do 🫡
-
@beefchips Excellent...small underpowered cars are my jam
See any of the new EV-only FIAT 500e?
-
@RallyDarkstrike not yet, actually haven’t seen a single fiat. Tons of Renaults, Peugeots (we have a rental 108) and Citroens though. And a current-gen M5 which I’m surprised didn’t get smashed by a lorry on the way out here it’s so wide

'Underpowered' sigh.
Lol. -
@svend Oh, believe me, I'm with you. They're not underpowered, they're fine, I was just playing to the North American stigma I have to deal with over here
-
@RallyDarkstrike
Ye', I know what you mean, 'I don't feel safe unless I've 300+bhp to overtake on my 25mph commute to work'.
Lol
I can't remember which OPPO it was, said he didn't feel safe over taking in his wife's car as it had about 100bhp.
Lol.
Have a 1.0 123bhp Ford Mondeo estate.
-
@svend Yup....my Accent 'only' has 110hp and I've never once felt unsafe or that it needed more power for daily driving...
-
@RallyDarkstrike
First Skoda, was a Skoda Superb estate, 1.4TSi, 123bhp manual, she could sit at 70mph all day if needed and could make the front wheels scream if I wanted. -
@svend Yup, us North Americans don't need near as much power as we all lead each other to believe we do...
