Rock’s Gym Father’s Day Car Meet

I love green BUT I think there was just toooooo much here. A bit overboard. Sounded good though.
Somehow I am a very approachable guy, at every car show/meet I end up sticking around talking to a random person too long and don’t get all the pictures or information from the owners I would like. The owner of this straight piped, headers/tuned Camaro SS was an incredibly nice humble mullet wearing 23 year old that I got sucked into an intoxicating conversation about him doing rigging work on barges that I lost daylight.
This is one owner and pictures I wanted more time with, as he had shut the hood by the time I got there. Whipple Supercharger, Kooks headers, rear traction bars, some rear end work I didn’t catch running 11.9 psi. Looking to switch over to E85 and push 19.
That exhaust reminded me of my grandpa’s donkey for some reason…
This is a co-workers car. He recently swapped out his 5-speed for a newer 6-speed, I’m glad to see it driving under its own power.
This Delcia showed up late. Owner says he bought it in Japan for $1,500. Drove it to England and paid $1,000 to ship it over here. It had this cool little TV at the rear of the front console that was a Japanese karaoke machine for the passengers.
This guy is a bit of mystery. He obviously got bombarded when he showed up, I talked to him for a little bit. I know he is local because I know where he lives but then he mentions having a place in Austin and being a driving instructor at COTA where he has a 992 GT3 in PTS Nardo Grey and now has a GT3 on order. Then promptly says “nice talking to you” and walks off. I need to get to know this guy.
This Shelby owner and his recent wife were great to converse with as well. This was his dream car and he just recently bought it in Houston. Wife said he couldn’t stop smiling the entire drive home. He is a crane operator for the wind turbines we have down here. We exchanged numbers and I look forward to hopefully having a real life Oppo at events like this.
I had two people ask me where my pictures are going so I mentioned my shirt and one guy asked if we could sponsor him.
There were a lot more cars there that I didn’t get to before they left or we lost daylight. There was free pizza, water and chips so we had that going for us.

@Snakesm13 The Joker car reminded me I wanted to share this quirky one I spotted yesterday.

So I read that thinking that would be a fun tag line for the site. But we really don't believe that, do we?
I think this better captures the collective intelligence:
Oppo, we develop and encourage the best automotive choices.
