My first non-SBSD article on the Autopian!

And hopefully not the last. It's familiar subject matter to you all...

@Mark-Tucker What’s a “twenty-footer”?
-
@Just-Jeepin Looks great from twenty feet away.
-
@Mark-Tucker for some reason the thumbnail made me think sex pistols...
-
@farscythe yes, it's a ripoff of the "Never Mind The Bollocks" album cover that I made into a sign a few years ago. It's been my avatar on various forums off and on since.

Nice "Sabrina" overriders on the '74 MGB next to yours.
Why are they called "Sabrina"? Well, there was this actress ....
Strangely, this term appears to only be used in MG circles. Triumph owners don't refer to similar overriders on their cars as "Sabrina overriders".

@Mark-Tucker This is what I've been wanting to read from you for a while. Massive thanks to @David-Tracy at @The-Autopian for giving you a platform for your talents.
-
@Mark-Tucker Just checked it out. Great read! A+ work
-
@gettingoldercarguy Aw, thanks!
-
@bison78 I believe the Triumph community prefers "Dagmars."
-
@Mark-Tucker Man that was a lovely read. Visual storytelling and all. I aspire to get Fargo where you've gotten your MG... may be a while...
-
@Mark-Tucker Congratulations!

Among the Triumph crowd "Sabrina" refers to a DOHC engine:

@Mark-Tucker that was a great read. A friend has a 1974 MGB and I’ve gotten quite a bit of time in it, which also means under the hood of course. It’s so fun but sadly he might sell it while it’s working properly, he doesn’t really have any attachment to it. I loved hearing about yours. I have a similar attachment to a certain wooden boat…
Cheers
-
@Mark-Tucker ha! I already read it before logging on to oppo. Great work. Weird that people in the comments are ragging on your car, but I guess it is the internet after all
-
@bison78 Triumph had a "Sabrina" engine they used in modified TR3s at Le Mans.

@Mark-Tucker The bit about ruining the kids automotive future one way or the other made me laugh! Good read.
