Safety First!

During my trip, I camped at a spot that was astonishingly breathtaking. I'll share more about it in my second post, but it was unfortunately in a corner on a winding mountain road. Now, I was there for hours and nobody passed by, and I wasn't in the road, but on the side. But I still didn't really like it.
I came up with the idea of using my Helio (great device!) that has a red light setting as a makeshift light bar. On this setting it can last over a month, so one night wasn't an issue. The sun would also rise on the side with the solar panel.
That's the view that anyone coming to the corner would see. With this in place, I went to bed safe that my vehicle was at least visible.... I don't think anyone ever did come by.
Today while my cooler and water jugs drained into the parkade floor, I set it up again and it worked when my neighbour came screeching around the corner in her 4Runner.

@CarsOfFortLangley in the us you can't stay right off the road in most places. Had to be 15 feet i think. Good idea though

@HammerheadFistpunch I was in such a crazy remote area, but yeah, probably not "legal". I never saw anyone else.
I needed it there as a windbreak for my tent/site. I had to double peg the tent down as it was.

@HammerheadFistpunch iirc, in Vermont you can camp wild on public lands like state parks, but it's 100' from the road or trail.

@CarsOfFortLangley interesting device, very versatile. What is the charge performance like in the real world? Does it really help?

@BJ Solar charging wise, it's not great, but leave it on the dash and it can recharge itself after a while. But, it's a very capable external power bank and light. I've used mine for 4 years and the battery life on the light is insane. Like, a month or more on the lowest setting constantly running. They give 100% of profits to charity, and the device was a passion project for a lot of tech guys from different companies. It's a really cool thing and really useful
