DOTS: Renault Fluence in the US!
-
Mexicans are allowed to drive their cars in the US for up to one year until they become illegal. While it is common to see Mexican cars on American cars along the border, seeing them in the Northern states is quite special.

@Sam-Blockhan The rarely seen Mexican baguette.

this is the kind of Mexican immigration we need more of
*plz don't make this politicalMexico recognizes both US standards and European UNECE standards for cars. We need to do the same.
-

Cars from Mexico are almost as dangerous as baby formula from Mexico.
-
@dogisbadob I do wish we could get some of the vehicles they get down there. But man, cars in Mexico lead a hard life, from what I've seen. The only Ford Ka I've ever seen up close and personal (not whizzing by on the motorway in Europe) was in Tijuana, and it nearly ran me over running a red light. Dented all to hell, front bumper held on by duct tape, and you could hear (and smell) the clutch slipping. I understood immediately why our insurance agent said our coverage was void if we drove into Mexico.
-
@Sam-Blockhan I wonder what Fluenced them to make the trip.
I did once see a Renault Captur on Mexican plates in Atlanta. However, I live about as far away from an international border as you're likely to find so any foreign plated car is quite special. This is a great spot!
Now to find a Mexican plated Ford Ka! Or a SEAT.
-
@WhoIsTheLeader I'd love to see a contemporary Peugeot.

@Sam-Blockhan well spotted!
