Thursday Soft Roading
-
Off at a cabin this week and decided to take the Jeep to a local off-road park (Bundy Hill) with my oldest. Given that I rolled up with sandals on, a five-year old in the car, and a fifty mile drive back home in a few days, the name of the game was essentially “don’t get stuck or break anything.” That said, we had a lot of fun going down some easy trails, with rave reviews on the steep inclines. Pretty much had the place to ourselves on a Thursday, which was nice too.
Definitely gave me the itch for some more serious off-road adventures…Mrs. OCTR and me used to do Jeep Jamborees and the like back pre-kids. Just a matter of finding time at this point and deciding how much I’m willing to break something on one of our daily drivers…

@OhCrikeyTheRozzers I’ll be a half hour from a state recreation area dedicated to off-roading the week of July 4th and won’t have to work, so I’ll probably finally take Sunset on some easy trails.
When I bought the LJ I took it to the same park before I even made my first payment. I had never off-roaded before, but I had to try it.
I was briefly tempted to try this steep climb, but I’ve never found the courage.
