In Dublin for a conference, and since it’s a nice afternoon and Dublin’s a pedestrian-friendly city, I decided to walk the mile or so home from the venue (the RDS) to my hotel. Which it turns out took me through the embassy district, and some of what I assume is the swankiest residential real estate in the city. Amongst a truly offensive density of Mercs, BMWs, Bentleys and Rollers parked in driveways (and pop quiz: if you have matching his and hers Rolls Royces, who gets the Ghost and who gets the Wraith? And why didn’t you save up a little longer and get a Phantom?), I found a couple of houses whose residents are clearly members of our tribe.
This place was sandwiched between the two-Rolls household and one with a Bentley and an S Class:
…and this was street parked outside:
Then a couple of hundred yards later:
Did you see the Russian embassy and its graffiti?
The Lotus is an import, presumably from the UK.
@Cé-hé-sin No, that’s a lot further out according to Google. I was wandering through Ballsbridge. Saw the Ukrainians though.
How can you tell the Lotus is an import?

@іди-на-хуй-Влад-formerly-known-as-Distraxi I'm still pissed we didn't get that Alpine here. I mean, I get it, Nissan showrooms would have moved maybe 10 of them, but still pissed

@іди-на-хуй-Влад-formerly-known-as-Distraxi Alpine! Elan gets points too. That's an unexpected oasis of good taste.

@іди-на-хуй-Влад-formerly-known-as-Distraxi Alpine is cool but the W123/Landcruiser people win, welcome to 1977.
@ranwhenparked But you get the Hummer EV, and that's practically the same, right?
