Morning work mini rant
-
If you’re going to forward an email to someone maybe check that they aren’t already attached on the original email. Also maybe check that the email has already been replied to, with all the same people attached, and resolved.
Stop spamming my damn email with duplicates making me scroll back through and check time stamps to see if anything actually changed. Ain’t nobody got time for that. But I do have time to complain about it. -

@PowderHound I've been working on a project with another guy at my company with the same first name and last initial. It's been a year and I'm still not entirely sure the customer's PM knows which of us is which or if we're not the same person. We get a lot of emails meant for the other...
-
@PowderHound My biggest gripe with Outlook is that it just puts all the emails in the same chain in chronological order, rather than in a tree/branch (threaded) format (ie like Reddit comment sections). Is there and email service that even does that?
-
@PowderHound Please see previous email. The screen shot is also high effective, mainly only used for serial offenders; that's also when you make use of the reply all button.
-
@Qaaaaa You can change that. View -> show as conversations.
DM me for my paypal
-
@e90m3 I’ve done that before. It somehow had no effect
-
@PowderHound user error?
-
@derp old people mostly. It’s even been mentioned several times that they know I am attached on the email and yet, without fail, the same email gets forwarded to me.
-
Poking around a bit, I don't even have a "view" button? I also can't use the desktop program for it because... reasons, so I'm stuck with the web browser version. Whatever, it's not like I reply to emails anyways
-
@PowderHound classic case of PEBKAC
-
@PowderHound thankfully it hasn't happened in years but I used to work with people that would print out an email and carry it over to me saying I needed to handle this.
It would make me so angry.
-
Farking email....
I swear the higher-ups use it as a substitute for text messaging, it makes so little sense.
I get it - your time is valuable. But email gives you ONE CHANCE to get EVERYTHING you need to say done, and in an official format that can't be argued with or misunderstood.
Use it! Emoticons and emoji are fine.

@jminer oh that’s bad. I would lose my mind
