We had an industrial lot north of the city where I drove past and saw like 500 Teslas parked. This was in the middle of Covid and we have zero showrooms, so I'm guessing they just offloaded some train car there (it was a long-shuttered steel or pipe factory lot with direct access to east-west rail lines). But it was a strange juxtaposition of all those expensive Teslas sitting in the middle of a high-crime area. I wish I had taken a pic, but I was so stunned I didn't even think to stop.

@Arch-Duke-Maxyenko I like to blame dealers for the lack colors, since they are the ones ordering the car, but that hypothesis does look pretty weak when you consider Tesla. I blame building them in tents! Though really if every car is custom order already, you'd think it would make sense to offer more customization, even if you make it very expensive.

My Model 3 is red and there are two other red Teslas in my small street (16 houses). There are other red Teslas nearby. The way I see it, red is the most popular color for Teslas.
