‘07 Toyota FJ Cruiser (motor less than 100k) - $25,000 (Belt)
Due to a growing family I have to sell/trade my Toyota FJ Cruiser. That’s the only reason I’m posting it for sale. I love this thing and it’s hard to let it go. The only trade I’m looking for is a Toyota 4Runner.
So, due to a Toyota dealership in another state mine ended up with a newer motor. The motor was installed at a Toyota dealership and now has about 100k on it. We had a newer transmission installed, rebuilt the rear end and u joints. We installed a icon stage 2 long travel suspension that gave it a 3” lift and a little more articulation. Warrior front bumper, warrior armor front fenders, warrior skid plate. Also has a rigid sr 20” light tube mounted. The headlights, markers and taillights we upgraded to led blacked out versions. The stereo has also been upgraded to a pioneer blue tooth/navigation and backup camera. Bfg all terrain Tires have a good amount of life left on them. Starter was replaced a few months ago. Mounted in the bumper is a warn vr10 10,000 pound winch. So this truck is 15 years old now with basically 100k on it. It does show some blemishes. We had a deer strike at 75 mph last year and thank god for the bumper but the driver door has a wrinkle in it. Driver side rear bumper plastic has a little scuff in it also, See pics. Few pin stripes from branches. The backup sensors need to be replaced. I never did because of the backup camera. The sensors are hard to find and expensive if you do so I never replaced them. The fj runs, starts, drives amazing and has no problem keeping up with traffic. It’s proven to be very safe on dry and snowy roads and everything in between. We also had a curt trailer hitch installed. We have a small trailer we pull to the dump every two weeks. Never hauled anything big with it. This fj has lived in a heated shop for the last 4 years and been well taken care of. Just need more room for my family and am looking to get a 4Runner. As far as cash offers I’m looking for $25,000 obo.

$25,000 obo.
Does it come with $20k in the trunk? The toyota tax is stupid.
-
Crack pipe.
-
@ForSweden Can I get a discount for it having ICON shocks that I will likely have to replace?
-
@ForSweden CP.
-
@ForSweden If it has receipts for all the dealership stuff and the rear end rebuild, NP for some reason
-
@HammerheadFistpunch Came in here for this comment, and it had to come from you

Granted, I don't keep up with the market for these, but I was thinking $7,500
Only in the Toyota world can you brag about your replacement engine having under 100k
Rust in peace.

And still wants $25k for it, holy fucking crack pipe batman.

@ForSweden unfortunately these have been 20-30k since before Covid/Russia inflation.

@ForSweden Man, even in Toyota heaven CO, that's CP. In fact, if anything, the market for these has seem to stagnated or even come down slightly. I can find several 2010+ for under $30k, which was nearly unheard of 1 year or so ago.
High mileage 07/08 you used to be able to find sub-$10k, which is unlikely anymore. Low 10s is findable though.

@ash78 even putting in 100k miles in KBB it's only valued at $13k-15k. Add maybe a couple grand for the "upgrades" and then subtract a couple grand because the body still has over 200k miles. KBB feels spot on for me.

@MasterMario I have a car up for sale at a ridiculously overvalued price too. Why not? I can ignore the hecklers and if someone wants to pony up I'm not going to talk them out of it. If not, I can always drop the price. It's not like I'm paying dealership overhead or anything, just another car in the yard. If it sells, it sells. If not, whatever.

@ibRAD it's possible he gets something close to that given those are well love vehicles that are no longer made plus the current market conditions. I did that same thing...listed our Matrix at a ridiculous price and took an offer that was under that by quite a bit but still ridiculous to me. I did end up selling it for just over the high end of the KBB range, which I still thought was nuts.
