PNW Meet - Friday (Photos)
-
I'll divide these up as I've got a boatload of photos and it's a slog going through a photos only post (as well as my issues with "I need to do this all now" when I really should mow the lawn first). But to start, me and @CarsOfFortLangley met just south of the American border last Friday for the PNW meet. After stopping in Olympia for gas, we cut west to get to Astoria on the Washington side of the border. The roads? Phenomenal. The weather? Absolute crap. But, we made good time and hit Fort Stevens State Park.
I parked my car by the beach and we took the Jeep down to drive on the sand and check out the shipwreck. Once again, the weather was miserable, but the view was good!
Was this meet just an excuse to take pictures of cars? Who's to say.
Pictured: people who can't read signs and ruin things for the rest of us.
I'm really happy with how these last two turned out.
We headed back to the battery and checked it out. Loads of derelict buildings, graffiti, and murder rooms.
Yes, the grass was offensively alive with all the rain.
We then got lost and ended up back at the beach.
Afterwards we checked out some more derelict buildings and guns.
And finally, we met up with the others at the bar. Which sank into the sea. Allegedly I'm cursed and it's my fault.
The remaining photos will be up soonish after I mow the lawn! Turns out I took a lot of photos this trip.

To be fair this sign makes no sense at all. Can I drive on the beach between midnight and noon? Is it closed from noon on May 1 to midnight on Sept 15? What could possibly be so time sensitive to warrant closing the beach at precisely 12:01, yet be so prolonged that it lasts for months? Honestly, it's pretty ambiguous as to whether this is a seasonal closure, or a time of day one.

Maybe they shouldn't bring the guy with an indigenous curse put on him to places that can fall into the sea.
Great photos though. I'm a little doubtful of this statement though:
I parked my car by the beach
That sure looks like it's parked in/on the beach.

@WhoIsTheLeader Hey, it’s a Wiccan curse, first of all.
-
@CB What's the geographic range like on those curses anyways? I suppose they don't respect political boundaries but do they stop at geographical ones?

and murder rooms.
Making plans for a future meet? Did somebody on the trip get on your nerves?
