Another megamorph, all generations of X5. Overall it stayed remarkably consistent throughout its 4 generations, and seem to be the most immune to the controversial design directions of Chris Bangle or von Hooydonk. The G05 was the only one to kink the main side feature line and the first one to lose the circular foglights, which I kind of miss. We'll see what the future brings...

@WBizarre Ooh, this is a good one. I really love your intergenerational morphs. It stays more similar than you'd think given the direction of BMW's design language. Maybe it's just that their design language started being based on SUV proportions.

@WhoIsTheLeader eh, I'd say the devil is in the details. Proportionally cars have been much the same for the last decade, if not longer (look at the Camry since 2007, basically). It's just that more and more shit gets smeared onto the front and sides "for style" in search of some impossible and implausible zeitgeist when in reality, true timeless design is just that: of any time, and not subject to fads.

@WBizarre This one's masterful, my man. It's kind of remarkable how small the first gen looks, or I guess how big the newer ones are, by comparison. It's like it grows from a trail running shoe to the Romanian Palace of Parliament in 25 years.
