F-Type is fixed.

Turns out the CEL was for an O2 sensor which had failed. New sensor is in and the car will be ready to pick up this afternoon. So that's good and easy!

It was a bit of a frustrating experience as I dropped the car off on Saturday morning and was told it might get finished that day. Then they didn't even look at it until today. I sent the guy an email this morning just letting him know I was not upset or worried or anything and understood the delay was not his fault, but that if it was going to be a few more days before they could work on it, I needed to make some alternative car plans for the weekend since my son will be with me.

Fast forward to an hour ago when I got a text letting me know that the repair is done and it's on the house as an apology for the delay. Free work at a dealership? Makes me nervous.

I also found my old car on Carvana.
The $19,990 ask is more than I paid in 2018 with 48k on it.

yeah, inventory is still going fast. My sister is looking for a 2015-18 Model S to replace hers that was totaled a couple of weeks ago, and it is tough.

For sure, but they could have still gotten paid and you could have come out farther ahead. They could offer an oil change or something.

@ibRAD Huh. I guess I never would have considered it. And this actually saves me the $50 deductible I would have had to pay had they billed me. Since I chose to take it to the dealership and not the "preferred" mechanic, I have to pay the deductible. Though I have used and really like one of the preferred mechanics they use.

Anyways, I'm happy it's done and nothing more serious than a failed sensor.
