Well, this looks like fun. Ferrari 488 GTE AF CORSE #51 (Lego 42125). It also looks like sticker hell. Yours for only $169.
-
I know they complete the look, but stickers are my least favorite thing about a Lego set.
-
@ttyymmnn @benjrblant I usually don't put stickers on when I complete a set as I hate them so much.

The stickers are annoying, but I've gotten pretty good at putting them on (my kids always ask me to do the stickers), but it involves tweezers and taking my glasses off. And I get really annoyed when they're not perfectly straight.
-
@ttyymmnn I get annoyed when they're not straight too, so I usually just skip them
-
@ttyymmnn I haven't built a lego since the bucket wheel excavator but this will be my next conquest!
-
I like the big Lego kits. The Defender was a fun build, so was the Mustang. The 911 RSR looks cool, too.
-
@benjrblant Because racecar
The headlights are printed clear pieces.

I have this Ferrari transporter that my family bought for me years ago, still unopened. I'll build it one of these days. But if I build it, I'll have nothing to build!
-
Yea, sticker hell. And then they have to be peeled off to use the parts in something else. Never put them on on my models. When I sold my LEGO collection, there was a whole file folder with dozens of sticker pages. I did use a few on laptops.
-
@ttyymmnn That you have a kit to build may be keeping you from getting more to build? I sometimes had 3 or 4 waiting in the box. Bought for that piece or 2 that I wanted. Build the kit anyway, play with it, put it on the shelf for awhile, then tear it apart for another project.
-
@ttyymmnn My cart overrunneth
Waiting for that next stimulus check now. -
That does look like sticker hell. I'm an engineer by trade, and also a perfectionist. I assume that goes hand-in-hand.
When I did my F40 and the Technic F1, I was so happy there were only a few stickers. I've had the 911 GT3 RS on my pintrest gift board for 2-3 years now and nobody has gifted it. Guess I need to gift it to myself. Also had minimal stickers.
Not sure if I could deal with this 488. It'd probably stay in the box for a long time.

I don't want to admit how many lego kits I have waiting to build.
It'll be a while just yet, as they all just got packed up.
Jelly of the Scuderia transporter. I missed that one before the scalpers bought em all up.

My family bought me one of these lights you wear on your head when working. Turns out it's fantastic for seeing what you're doing when building Lego.
-
@ttyymmnn When the catalog arrived a few days ago, my gf asked if I'd be interested. Her parents like to get me stuff that I'd never spend money on for myself. Naturally I said I would be interested, but that I wouldn't buy it myself because that's just too much money...so I have a feeling that I'll be unwrapping it in just over 2 months' time.
And hell yes, I'm excited. Even though the box will likely go on the shelf next to the 911 RSR Technics kit they bought me, which is still waiting to be built.
I need to get some kits out to work on during the Daytona 24.

I expect a full build report.
