@looseonexit ok, im not watching the video of the shooting. So I could be entirely wrong here, but are people saying "what the fuck?" to a protestor storming the capital building being shot? Because then my response is "what the fuck?" As in, what the fuck did you think would happen? And also, why the fuck didn't it happen more? Police firing tear gas and rubber bullets and showing up in unmarked vans and hauling people off this summer, but storm the fucking capital and, by comparison, not a goddamn thing? Are we kidding?

I admittedly accidentally watched because I thought it was just a vid of a stand-off not the shooting. In doing so I think (not a lawyer) it was a clean shoot because SHE WAS TRYING TO BREAK INTO THE CHAMBER BY CLIMBING THROUGH THE WINDOW DURING AN ACTIVE SESSION. I mean holy shit.

This whole thing great upsets me, but this is what infuriated me:

It makes me furious that there weren't mass arrests, that there was more use of tear gas and rubber bullets, which were "completely justified" when used in response to BLM protestors.
This isn't democracy, this is anarchy. Trump needs to be impeached immediately.

@dtg11 45 needs to be in prison, and the LEOs in charge of this debacle need to be stripped of their positions and bennies. The images of officers allowing selfies to be taken with the deplorables are telling.

Awfully funny the amount of force used to give the foreign asset a photo op with a church (it's a Bible) is about 100x more than used against a mob of armed fascists trying to overtake an official building.

@dtg11 To the extent that I think the law enforcement/military response to the BLM protests this summer was bad, I think it's good that they weren't using those tactics here (I have my doubts that it was because they learned from their mistakes though). However, while a soft and non-confrontational presence at the initial barricades might make sense, they really needed to be able to draw a line somewhere before people entered the building.

And yeah I have no idea what is going on with opening the gates there, but it looks really bad.
