Anyone here get anything this awesome for Christmas?
-
Didn’t think so.
-
@chariotoflove not THAT awesome, but I did get a pair of super comfy flannel pjs and a travel mug that says "love from kid a and kid b", so I've got that going for me. Which is nice.

That is extremely nice. I need some new flannel PJs myself, which I need to go buy now.

I got a new floor jack. But sadly, it didn't come with a snazzy sweater.
-
@chariotoflove
Yes. Yes I did.
-
@chariotoflove That is pretty great, but since I'm not into Star Wars, I'd definitely rather have the giant Lego set I got.
I would have bought this for my wife though, for sure.
-
@dealkillerpoweredbyfocus No way! I have Spacebase 2000 floating around somewhere!
(Image stolen from Goog, not a pic of my copy, which is well-worn)
-
@DealkillerPoweredByFocus You may be winning there.

Maybe next year.

@dealkillerpoweredbyfocus That really is pretty awesome.

And that would be a gift for you as well, as I’m sure she’d be adorable in it!

I have to admit, it’s solid competition.

@chariotoflove My 3-year-old niece gave me a teddy bear in a pink valentine's day hoodie.
-
I guess it depends on what you're into, but for me yes - and useful!
-
I'm a huge fan of The Cars and a very good friend got me an autographed Ric Ocasek guitar pick guard
Not this one, but very similar (at work, can't get a pic).
I was stunned and damn near in tears. -
@trivet That's incredible!

Agreed. One of my most prized possessions is an autographed Heartbeat City album cover - signed by Ric Ocasek, Greg Hawkes, David Robinson and Elliot Easton. (Sadly it was after Benjamin Orr passed away).
I need to make a space to display both of these now. I had the album framed and in my office at my old job, it's in a box now.

That is possibly the most awesome gift ever.
-
@zaphod-s-heart-of-gold Oooooo!
-
@trivet Oh wow! I can’t even imagine how he came by that. That’s amazing.

Her mother, my sister in law, told me that she was quite insistent the pink one was correct/my color. Heh.
This is the niece for whom I did a purple metalflake pedal car a year ago and a playhouse this year. Do I spoil her?
I think the bear's name will be Mervyn.

@ramblinrover
You are uncle'ing correctly. -
I did, back in 1981 or thereabouts. It still worked the last time I fired it up, but I don't have any 'C' batteries to test it with. Maybe I'll whip up an AC adapter for it.

@6mt_ftw
Very nice! My daughter and I stumbled upon a cabinet game, like in the old arcades, that had several of the old favs on it, such as Pac Man. I also have an Atari 2600 game machine at home with over 80 games on it. It's funny how much fun those low-res games still are to play. -
