Trump has to be removed

America has to reject the notion that these kinds of tactics are useful, acceptable, or harmless. Trump has to be forcibly removed from office in order to rescue any semblance of legitimacy in the US political system.
Every political figure must understand that giving voice to conspiracy theorists, seeking violence, and abusing the bounds of the legal and electoral system is out of the question. The only way to disuade them is to enact swift consequences on Donald Trump.
Otherwise, 2024 will become a dangerous electoral year. The possibility of an election with a closer margin could, alone, be catastrophic.
So yeah, this is the end of the road.

Sounds good to me. Some other people who agree:
Remove Trump Tonight
Impeach Trump Again
Pence should consider invoking 25th Amendment to remove Trump, business ally of the president says
Vermont Gov. Phil Scott Calls for Trump to 'Resign or Be Removed From Office'
Impeach and Convict. Right Now.
Trump caused the assault on the Capitol. He must be removed.
The president incited his followers to violence. There must be consequences.
Why Trump Must Be Removed and Disqualified From Public Office
I'm sure there are many more. Also note, that while the tweets are from Democrats, 4 of the first 5 are from Republicans.

@tae Lock them up. lock them all up. I hear there's space in gitmo for terrorists who want to tear it all down. I don't care where they were born, what color their state, their skin or their flag is, if they participate in insurrection (i.e.: crossed the police line and invaded a national government office) they deserve the same treatment as any other terrorist.
Just my opinion, I understand others may have differing views, but I can see the end-game for might-makes-right-rule and it looks bleak for 99.9% of the population if we revert to mob rule.

At least Twitter blocked his account for 12 hours.
But seriously, I agree that this is just way, way too much. Of all the things he's done, this is beyond comprehension, and beyond any shadow of a doubt that he is woefully unfit for any public office. This is the words of Gabriel Sterling, coming true: "A month ago, a top election official in Georgia, Gabriel Sterling, begged his fellow Republicans to stop spreading conspiracy theories about voting, as it was leading to death threats against officials overseeing that state's recount.
"Someone's going to get hurt, someone's going to get shot, someone's going to get killed," Sterling said at the time."

Drag him out of the white house, lock him up and throw away the key.
Lock up every single insurrectionist for at least the minimum sentence of 10 years.
An example must be made.

Strange that I haven’t seen this one thrown back at him. Why no calls for harsh prison sentences for these “fine people”?
I don't think there were any anarchists as part of that mob.

@jayvincent Eh, gitmo is filled with enemy combatants. These guys are traitors, we don’t have to keep them alive.

@kiltedpadre It's hard to call him out on hypocrisy because he's hypocritical about so many things, denies having said things he said hours or days earlier, and dismisses inconvenient facts like they don't exist. It's pathological, and I mean that very seriously. You can't argue with a guy who thinks everyone else is walking on the ceiling, while he's doing a handstand.
