Secret Senna's Second Stop-by!

Delivered yesterday evening, a gorgeous copper metallic poster of a Holman-Moody team Fairlane driven by (I imagine ) Jim Clark! In any case, the F1 star drove his first and only NASCAR race in it, which unfortunately ended early for him due to engine failure.

Here's Clark climbing in with the still-running engine, ready to race!

I'm not really up on my NASCAR history so I went digging last night to see if I could find a little info on the car. Here's a nice account of Clark's race.

@beefchips in the 60's, a lot of drivers from other disciplines tried NASCAR to see what all the fuss was about. This was spurred by Andretti winning as well in 67'. A lot of drivers have tried and failed on the oval, a lot of drivers didn't have respect for how tough stock car racing was and ended up in the wall or beaten into the rear.

Not to get on my soapbox, but NASCAR drivers have gotten into F1 cars and ran near pole speeds and F1 drivers have got into stock cars and taken almost a year to get there.
