2 wrongs, etc etc.
-
@hammerheadfistpunch 2 wrongs don't, but 3 lefts do!
-
@st80mnd Instructions unclear, made 3 wrongs, somehow turned left.
-
@hammerheadfistpunch I dunno... sometimes doing that second wrong feels really right though....
-
@rusty-vandura It would be worse if they got it towed by the City, then it ends up in an impound lot and will be close to $500 to get it back.
-
@highlander Why not both? Drag it until it's in front of a fire hydrant, then call it in!
-
@ibrad Now you are talking.

@Rusty-Vandura I live near a school and had someone do this in front of my driveway during a school event one evening. I got back from my dumb long frustrating commute to some overprivileged jerkface with their Denali parked directly in front of my driveway, blocking it off.
I parked my truck on one end and was able to maneuver the wife's car to the other end. Both just off the bumper, effectively blocking them in. Eventually the event ended and they returned. They waited. They waited with their kid for some other ass at the school event to move one of the vehicles. And they waited. And waited some more. And the kid got mad and wanted to go home. So they waited some more, but those people never came, because alas, I was that ass that was not moving a damn thing. Finally the dad knocked LOUDLY on my door. This idiotic faux rich asshole didn't want to apologize and ask me to move MY cars in front of MY house. Oh no, not that - not all, not one damn bit. He wanted to YELL AT ME and THREATEN ME. This was a TERRIBLY, TERRIBLY BAD miscalculation on his part. Now all my neighbors and everyone else within 100yards know how I feel about people who park in front of my house without my permission.
So I feel this video and approve.

@looseonexit You are my hero
-
@looseonexit I'm so curious about how this exchange went...like what words did he use? I DEMAND THAT YOU MOVE YOUR CAR OUT OF YOUR DRIVEWAY SO THAT I CAN MOVE MY CAR THAT I LEFT BLOCKING YOUR DRIVEWAY!?
-
@looseonexit That's exactly what I would have done. Towing it just makes you liable for shit...but parking them in doesn't.
Also, I probably would have made sure to answer the door with my pistol on my hip. I have a feeling his tone would have been dramatically different.

You are also my hero

YES!!! Would take some time to investigate the local laws regarding parking, but would have called a tow company 100% for this one. Let them get angry, but that's MY driveway.
-
@forsweden Too bad; the border is closed.
-
@hammerheadfistpunch Yep. By the same token, if the video had been of six blokes manhandling the car into correct alignment within a slot in a supermarket parking lot, nobody would think anything of it.

He choose an an interesting path, like when you're reading a Choose Your Own Adventure Book and you take the bold path, flip to page 142 and then die. Fortunately you, as the reader, can go back and choose differently. But of course, he could not go back and try again much to his dismay.
"Who do YOU think YOU are? I am going to have YOUR shit towed right FUCKING now unless you move your cars."
Strong opening move but no. No no no nononono, this is NOT the way. This is not what you do here if you're this guy and I'm me. Not at all. Fatal error achieved. I mean, I'm well aware I don't look intimidating in the least so I can get his course of action here, but man you don't know me and this is not how things work here. I think he recognized that after about three words out of my mouth, but he earned 100% of my fury for a bit before retreating.

@highlander My crappy Crown Vic was recently stolen, then towed and impounded. They wanted $685 just to leave it there for them to destroy. I got them to reduce the fee to $210. I an currently working this matter with state governmental agencies and the Oakland Police Department. My main question is this: did OPD order the car towed -- total distance: 2 miles -- or did some tow truck driver see a $700 payday and just grab the car?
-
@looseonexit I'd have closed the door in his face, after I squirted him with the squirt bottle I use on my wife's dogs. Told him I'd be leaving for work at 7:30 AM next day. Or he could go and calm himself and come back in half an hour with a different attitude and maybe I'd need to go to the store or something at that time.
-
@looseonexit Just remember: the most effective ass whippings are the kind and gentle ones.
-
@mastermario I've considered that, but in our hoity toity-ish neighborhood it'll just become a "crazy person" rumor mill and call the cops thing even though it's Texas and there's probably 10:1 weapons to people around me. Plenty of wanna be intimidation folks around because they have some money and think they're important. Talk shit to the barista types, not actually fear for safety situations. I feel like I've dressed down more people at the local Starbucks for being dicks than times I've yelled at my kid in the last number of years.
-
Unpopulartake here : Dick move.
The Honda was not really in front of the driveway, just a bit off, but totally manageable for the truck owner if he had more than a reptilian brain in his dumb skull.
-
@mastermario Yes, I believe that even in Commiefornia, you are permitted to open carry inside your own home.
-
@looseonexit fair enough...though I feel like earning the "crazy person" title wouldn't be all that bad. People would at the very least leave you alone.
