It begins… 6-wheel Bronco
-
This is a lifestyle vehicle, and I approve of the lifestyle
-
@davesaddiction Well, that's one way to waste six figures, I suppose. Not a good way, but a way.
-
-
It takes something perfectly functional/capable and makes it less so.
-
@davesaddiction I know. I agree it's stupid. But I like it.
-
I’ll never understand, but okay.
-
-
@davesaddiction
There's a few 6x6 and 6x4 Ford Ranger conversions down here...Doing it to a Bronco seems... pointless?
-
-
Speak for yourself, everything I do and like is completely rational and tasteful.

@davesaddiction It is stupid, but like Sam, I approve IF it's actually 6-wheel drive, even though it's stupid. We like plenty of stupid shit around here.
-
Additional payload capacity is the only real reason for extra axles.
-
@davesaddiction Agreed. Unless done for load-carrying, these things are stupid. It's got the same energy as driving around in a stretched limo.
-
Maybe he’s got a 5th wheel hitch and a huge goose-neck he hauls with all… 400 hp he’s got.
-
@davesaddiction On one hand, lol, on the other, this boi had 120hp and was rated to tow 7,700lb:
Geared like a damn tractor though.
-
@davesaddiction they have a rabbid base of NFL players lined up
-
@davesaddiction
Which is the typical reason why it's done down here.Be worth trying on a Gladiator to make sure it can carry more than five people and their picnic lunch but doing it to a Bronco is just...trolling.
-
@davesaddiction I like it better than the regular 4 door Bronco.
-
@SilentbutnotreallyDeadly for soft sand? outside of heavy loads, i would figure the rest would be more things to go wrong.
gladiator is 1080-1200
Ranger 1270-1560
taco 1050-1685
calorado 1270-1550
ridgeline 1500
is it typical to go offroading with a max load? -
@davesaddiction Based on the fact that in multiple pictures there's a jeep with a "soflojeeps.com" banner across the top of the windshield, I'm guessing it's the same company that did my CEO's Jeep.
Pic taken last spring. Reasonably certain this Jeep is rocking a turbodiesel instead of a gas engine.Not that it's tasteful or even good looking...just that it exists. And I'd like to drive it once.
Edit: If it is the same company, then it's true 6-wheel drive. -

NOOOOOO!!
-
@Sam-Blockhan said in It begins… 6-wheel Bronco:
@davesaddiction I only approve if it's six-wheel-drive.
Well I only approve if its front wheel drive only.
-
@davesaddiction one could argue this is an ideal beach vehicle...more tires mean less ground pressure
-
-
@davesaddiction I like it in theory, the execution is subpar. This rear C/D pillar and rear window thing looks awful and the blind spots look big enough to hide a semi
-
@Roundbadge man, they made an entire company around taking vehicles and making them look awful. Makes sense they'd be in Florida though
