Sad day, end of an era.

Finally got off my ass and called the scrapper about the BMW. He's coming sometime today or tomorrow to take it away.

For the new folks, this manual 528i had been my daily driver for most of my Oppo tenure, I got six years of reliable service out of it. It's taken me all over New England, to several Oppo meets, and was still going strong at 270k miles when I parked it for the last time. It needed some work and I had other cars to drive, so it sat. Unfortunately some weather seal somewhere failed while it was sitting and the interior got moldy. Too moldy. It's not salvageable.

So are you gonna get something cool to replace it?

@just-a-scratch I dunno. My current living situation makes it hard to have multiple cars. I'd love another E39 but since I have the Rav4 as a practical DD it seems dumb to get another 4 door. If I do get another car it'll be something specifically fun, like an coupe or convertible of some sort. Maybe an old Sebring.
