The best race of the year: the Bathurst 12 Hour
-
This track facilitates amazing racing every year. From the support races (Combined Sedans is my favorite) to the main event, Mt. Panorama never disappoints. The final qualifying shootout starts in about two hours, but support races will be running until then. Enjoy:
The main race starts tomorrow (the 14th), running from 2:15pm to 2:15am Central time Sunday morning.

Chaz Mostert has secured pole position.

@MarquetteLa
Here I sit in Australia...with no prior knowledge that this was on and no idea (or likely capacity) how to watch it. Your feed doesn't work for me...Unless I drive for five hours to the Mountain itself. And since I've seen motor racing at Mount Panorama before and found the crowd to be more engaging than the action you can't see on the race track... nope. Driving the mountain is always much more fun anyway!

@MarquetteLa It’s one of my favorite races of the year. Going to be interesting watching the field this year with it being mostly pro-am if I read correctly.

@MarquetteLa thanks for the reminder!

The race is about to begin!

@MarquetteLa Always loved how they start in the dark but this fog is intense
-
@BeaterGT Yeah, these conditions are nuts.
-
The mountain has claimed its first victim. The #52 MARC Mustang rode the wall quite a distance and I doubt it will be able to continue. Safety car out.

Dawn is breaking, but so are the clouds! Rain starting and drivers are making mistakes.

We are now into the second half of the race!
