Cool Color Conundrum for the B200 B-Class
-
There are three manual B-Classes on kijiji that have the awesome sunroof. One is turbo, and two are not. I prefer non-turbo, but the turbo example has the light interior (can't tell if beige/tan or light gray). I like light interiors over boring, dull black and gray.
The 2007 turbo is gray on the outside, but the interior color is the best, being something lighter than the black interior most of them have. The seller included a picture of the shifter, so it was easy to confirm it's the 6-speed manual despite not providing the VIN. It has 145k miles and priced at $2500
One of the non-turbos is red, which is awesome, though it has the black interior. It needs spark plugs, wires, an EGR valve, and he says the sunroof leaks air but not water or snow
It has 90k miles and priced at $3500. 2009 model year. Seller is moving back to Europe. As you can probably guess from being a red manual non-turbo, it's in Quebec. Since no interior pics were provided, I used Lastvin to confirm it is manual.The other non-turbo is an example I've posted before. 125k miles, $4000. It's a 2010. Black on black. Probably the best condition, too. The biggest advantage is that it's from a dealer, which offers temporary plates and other services that private sellers just can't provide.
The turbo requires premium gas, while the non-turbo can be filled with regular. The turbo is also more difficult to work on.
Gas mileage is 20 city/29 highway for the turbo, and 22/29 for the NA.
If I was ready to buy my B-Class right now, I'd probably take the one from the dealer because it seems to be in better shape than the red car, and the owners manual will be in English rather than French.
Which B200 would you choose? Is the B-Class so cool it doesn't have to be in a cool color, or do you still want the cool color even in a car as cool as the W245?
Has anyone picked up a not-as-good example of any car simply because it came in a cooler color or a more awesome interior color?

@dogisbadob You know how important color is to me, but I still went with a white Grand Cherokee because I was more concerned about getting the drivetrain I wanted.
Had I known it would be a short-term vehicle, however, that calculus would have absolutely been different.

@dogisbadob I've always liked the W246 over the W245. I'd always pick red.

@dogisbadob "he says the sunroof leaks air but not water or snow"
Lol k

@AMGtech @dogisbadob it only leaks sun, so actually there's nothing wrong with it.

There is a very likely chance the manual will be bilingual.

@dogisbadob i'd avoid black myself.
