Negative test for Covid 19! Well my results didn't come in yet but my girlfriend did get hers and considering we've spent every minute together for the last few weeks, it's a shoe in for mine to be the same. Not that we were really worried since we've taken all of the precautions. But you never know with this virus and with the traveling weve done and many roommates at home, it was always a concern. Just one big sigh of relief for now though! It's a damn racket for testing. She is getting on an international flight tomorrow so she needed results in 24 hours. To achieve that, cost was $175. I did a free test since I can wait a week no problem. Just another pay to win model! -
@wrong-wheel-drive One of my coworkers is positive, I sent this to him:
-
I tested positive last Saturday. Only symptoms are fatigue and headache. Still have my taste. And no need for 1000 rolls of toilet paper yet.
-
I got very sick, my wife didn't get the virus. No rhyme or reason..
-
Yay! Now just stay that way
-
My parents had all of the same symptoms, including losing smell and taste, but only my mother tested positive. So while the anti-maskers cry about a lot of false positives, there are definitely false negatives.
-
Had a negative test yesterday. Which means I'm still sick with something else, but at least I can go to the doctor for that now (they declined to see me last week because I had a COVID symptom and had been out of state (to a state that has lower numbers than here), which is pretty absurd, but easier to just get the test than fight them.

@jordan you know what I like about masks? I don't have to fake smile at people and I don't have to bother shaving. Plus why would I want to ever be within 6 feet of strangers anyways. Sure I miss being able to see family and long distance friends but otherwise this is all upside to me personally. Of course there's the whole caring about people dying and the economic disaster. But even if I wanted to be selfish I don't see why anyone should be against the safety protocols.

@wrong-wheel-drive I would also venture to guess it cuts down on the flu on top of all of those things. Personal space was a thing that needed to be worked on by many, too.

Well shit, I might have had it for years!
-
I was tested on Sunday, and received results in 2 - 3 hours, from Walgreens. Swab up the nose test, with negative results. Several people in my church have tested positive over the past few weeks, yet I somehow have been able to dodge the virus. Lots of mask wearing probably helps?
-
@gohawkeyes i still have never been tested
did have to explain to my boss that ive smoked for over 20 years and if he wants me to get tested whenever i cough (in my mask) he may as well pay me to stay there full time -

No need to guess, you are correct.
