@t0ast I'll buy it from you for $20. Message me if you're interested.

@t0ast How high did you rev your rental Lotus? That tach is amazing!

@Sweedsinthestable I did at least visit the 8.5k rev limiter a few times. It also had an aftermarket intake for some odd reason, which made for some glorious sounds once it changed cams.

The way the tach noticeably de-emphasizes everything below 3k RPM still amuses me to this day.

It's so perfect. I had never seen it before and it makes me love the car that much more. Great choice in a great color. Enjoy!

As long as the owner has had it long term, and had means, and the car has no apparent abiuse, your risk is low. Nobody buys a Lotus Elise and holds it nearly 20 years in order to scam someone.

@RacinBob That's more or less the vibe so far, 10+ year owner who is simply moving on to a 981 Spyder.

@t0ast Well, as Sherlock Holmes says that the obvious answer is usually the right answer.

Granted that there can always be problems, but what you want to avoid is the guy who either is concealing a cosmetically repaired major accident or is aware of a significant ongoing issue such as cylinder scoring or overtemp.

This guy sounds like the one who has the intent of non abuse and the means to fix what fails.

Quick bump to say the car presented very well and the sale went off without a hitch. One leg of the trip home down, three to go. More later, sleep now.
