Dinner time.
-
Tandoori chicken balti, pilau rice, chat kachori, chicken katsu roll, duck spring roll, chapatti and onion bhajis.
I made the pilau rice arse about face, sizzling the cardamom, garlic, ginger, turmeric, cloves, bay leaf, spice blend, garam masala, lemon juice and some oil first, then added the steamed rice. -
You made all that? Looks amazing
-
@svend The fresh cilantro makes it
-
Thanks.
The baked and pastry stuff is shop bought, the rest by me.
The pilau rice didn't come out as I wanted but if anything, it came out better. -

The leafy parsley? -
@svend We've just found a local Indian joint that is really good! Have been ordering there a lot recently.

@tripper
Nice one. Enjoy experimenting on new foods.
Keep away from phaal, vindaloo, Laal maas, Chettinad, Rista, etc...
If trying something extra hot, only try a small amount of it with a lot of rice first and always keep some cucumber yogurt to hand to neutralise the heat.
Sorry if I sound like I'm preaching to the converted, but so many people look at spice and go, 'ye', I can do spice' and it can do a lot of painful damage to your stomach and intestines. Lol.
-
@svend looks like corriander/cillantro in the pic
-
@classicdatsundebate
Flat leaf parsley aka Italian parsley and coriander look very similar but apparently you can tell them apart by the roundness of the tips of the leaves.
-
@svend I am so getting Indian food for lunch tomorrow.
