2021: the year in space
-
Since it’ll suck down here, maybe we can look to the skies for more adventure.
Ars Technica has a good preview of what’s likely to launch this year, and the Mars missions due to arrive next month.
-
Always seems so wrong to me when I see screenshots of Ars without the black background enabled...
-
@facw Huh, didn't even realize Ars had a dark mode...
-
@facw Thank you! Didn't know they had Dark Mode either. And it sticks even without signing in.
-
I'm looking forward to perseverance landing for sure. I'm skeptical that SLS will be off the pad in 2021 but we'll see. Starship progress is an obvious thing to look forward to.
Keeping an eye on Rocket Lab as well as they start to re-fly Electron parts and eventually catch the returning booster with a helicopter (and other cool stuff they do). Should start launching from the states this year, too.

@skyfire77 They were originally a white on black site design, and all but one redesign since they went to a light scheme has included a dark theme as well.
