Sandy went to the garage today.

After getting Sandy back from the bodyshop late last December, she had a dashlight on as the battery had been disconnected while the bodywork was being done. Finally got in today to get it reset.
Last time it took all of ten minutes so didn't request a courtesy car.
Told they will let me know when to pick it up.
I said it only takes a few minutes to plug in, check, then reset.
Thought, what the hell, grab a taxi and go home.
Unfortunately the weather was cold and it had rained at some point in the night and the roads were icy as hell (a bus a street over skidded down the hill ending up hitting someone's house, elsewhere a number of ambulances had to be called out because some people had slipped and broken a leg or hurt their back, etc...).
So a taxi was going to be an hour.
My work place is across the road from the garage so grabbed some shopping as I waited.
An hour and 15 minutes later Sandy was in the same spot where she was parked on arrival.
Taxi arrived, went home, got a call at ten to two to say Sandy was ready and they will send a driver to pick us up to take us to the dealership.
The car the driver came in was a newer version of Sandy, and hybrid. Using the same petrol engine as Sandy. It was the same inside as Sandy, the newer model only got tweaks to the front and rear, the only thing was when it reversed it sounded different to Sandy.
The 1.4TSi ACT is a very quiet engine anyway, this was that little bit quieter, but on reversing had a mechanical sound that didn't sound all that pleasant.
Also looked at the new Skoda Octavia liftback in red, lovely car. Not all that much smaller inside than the Superb and externally looking very similar.
I washed Sandy yesterday in 2C weather but left a rear passenger mat that had a little mud on as I didn't notice it until after I had put everything else away, but they vacuumed that for me.

Sounds like quite an adventure. I really need to wash my car as it got covered in wet sawdust and then driven through some mud.

Urgh, wet sawdust, sounds messy.

You should really buy a VCDS cable or a OBDEleven.
