But I sure hope if another COE Jeep ever arrives it’s not this ugly.

        That is ugly

....it doesn't even have front doors. Totally undermines the efficiency a COE brings!

I like the face. But wtf is the door situation? Driver has to climb into his seat from the back?

@alfalfa My guess is that it is like the Enterprise FOod Van I spotted a while back. Still conventional front engined with a fake COE greenhouse where the dashboard hasn't been moved.

@whoistheleader Per the rendering in the OP, the driver's seat is in an appropriate COE location. But yeah, a pretty rendering without all the feasibility baked in.

@whoistheleader if you look at the steering wheel it sure doesn't look that way.

nah, you can see a door line above the wheel arch, the door 'handle' is hidden on the mirror (a la TVR) and then you just climb over the wheel to get in the front 😂

@alfalfa @flatisflat Ok, I see your point. Where is the engine supposedly in this render anyways? And to my eyes, it seems that you'd want the seat further back to get better legroom and allow for enough space for dashboard components, pedal box, etc.

Only Jeep cabover i'd drive, other than the original forward control.

@alfalfa I mean, not the worst thing, if the space between the front seats is open (no center console). I do wish the rear door was suicide hinged, more of a barn-door configuration.

@whoistheleader EV platform? Back-to-back, centrally-mounted motors, each driving one of the axles, mounted underneath a body-length battery tray that sits on top of the frame rails and provides a completely flat interior floor?

@just-jeepin They went to great pains to keep the flip-down windshield on the JL; it would be only right to keep that feature in some way, even if it's not the exactly!

I mean, if they take off all the overkill offroad stuff and add some front doors, I don't think it'd make a bad van. It's like a Volkswagen Bus but with a jeep front end, and that could be really cool.

Some journalist told me about this site. Now I own three cars.
