All the joys of German car AND RV maintenance!

I could go on and on, but yes. Yes. It's about the nicest one you could hope to find (low miles, V6 instead of L5, no rust), and it's just constant work. It's always SOMETHING.

I didn't even know these existed! Westfalias, VW based Winnebagos and non-Westfalia VW conversions that pretty much follow the Westfalia template I've seen but never anything like this.
I've been looking casually for an RV or trailer for a little while now. A sub-23 foot Airstream trailer would work but I've been leaning more towards a motorhome. I've missed out on a few GMCs (the ones that were actually produced by GM and powered by the Toronado drivetrain) and aluminum bodied Airstreams by not being alert enough with the ad watching but I'm hoping to find something this year. I know someone who owns a Vixen (his father bought it new and he inherited it) which seems like it would be pretty nice but the chances of finding one locally seem slim. It could happen though, after all I've seen not one but two nice FMCs for sale in BC in the past six months and those are fairly rare.
