WHAT A SHITSHOW

holy crap today was a f@$&ing show.

to start, fucking shitloads of traffic on the way in. what is normally a 45 min, 30 mile drive had a 1/2 mile of just STOPPED. for some fucking reason. had to turn around and back track a mile to go a different way.

Get to work. And whoever parked the trucks in out yard last ngiht made it a freaking NIGHTMARE to try and back them up today what should normally be a 5 min process took literally 30 min. like what the hell.

2 contractors that I hired to drive some units for me on an emergency basis were late as well. my guy ended up waiting 1/2 an hour with his thumb up his ass because of traffic and the above shit show

A few hours goes by relativly lightly. I'm getting phone calls from clients for POD's as its end of month, and I see that several of them arent filled out right. so I have to recreate them, get dirvers back to sign, and just ugh.

2pm. I get a phone call from the US. One of my drivers was in a really bad accident. Truck ended up going over a railing and into a shallow river. Driver is fine (thank god) but thats another shitshow to mop up.

the entire day the boss brough in contractors to upgrade our lights as some burnt out. so there has been banging and smashing and swearing alll day in the background.

and to top it all off, right near the end, my dispatching software goes down, and i have to, on the fly, make a shared excel file to try and keep track of all the moves and crap that we need too.

How the fuck is it not friday?!?! Jesus

I tell them, nice and simple: as SOON as you get it done, take a photo and send to me. if you dont have data, take a picture anyways, and keep the paper and hand it to me at end of day.

Usually that is the same driver that threw a hissy fit because he wasn't done getting unloaded at exactly the end of his window.

Maybe, if he wasn't busy yelling at some dude on a forklift he wouldn't have forgotten his POD.
