A Teaser: Get Excited
-
Soon...
-
@KITT222 I guess I know what the Mustang is getting.
-
@CB speeding tickets?
-
@CarsOfFortLangley I know in the US if a cop gets pulled over in their private car there is a very low chance that they are getting a ticket. I am curious to see what happens in Canada. I'm sure we will have some data relatively soon.
-
@Highlander If I were an RCMP officer, it would depend on the agency of the other officer. RCMP, probably a little professional courtesy. CN Rail police? Enjoy your ticket man!
-
@CarsOfFortLangley Make it 500 metres away from a railroad crossing and you're safe!
Did you know CN Rail Police use unmarked police units? What the fuck my dudes.
-
@CB I did not. They also literally hide in bushes here and then jump out at you after getting your speed.
"You know, you were going 60km an hour in a 50, if there was a train ahead, you could have not been able to see it in time and hit it"
a) trains are big. b) I stopped quick enough to avoid hitting you, I am sure I could avoid broadsiding a train
Nice people, but ehhhhh.

It’s the only private police agency in Canada. I sat through an information session with them once and, after a lesson on investigations into impaired operation of a train, found a few Charter issues. No good.
-
@CB The CP rail cops are also private right?
-
-
@KITT222 I spy with my little eye, a clutch pedal...?
-
@KITT222 I will say having seen more, I am VERY excited for these!
-
@CarsOfFortLangley I used to have run-ins with the railroad cops once in a while when I lived in Toronto. Walking along the tracks from my house was far more convenient than streetside. I never did get any tickets though.
-
Parking brake I think
-
@CarsOfFortLangley I thought the parking brake was that light patch at the edge of the pic
-
@Urambo-Tauro Close! Parking brake pedal. Useless now since I have the handbrake handle, but I'm leaving the third pedal so I can feel superior (and/or use it as a stealth switch for... Something.)

Cop pulls him over, sees keychain…
“Say, aren’t you CB from Oppositelock?…”
-
@Urambo-Tauro That's my shoe, actually. I think what you think is a pedal is also my shoe...
-
@CB It sounds like you guys have it figured out @CarsOfFortLangley rail cops are high end rent a cops. They are private, in the US as well. There must be some federal legal precedence/law as they can issue citations and such on rail property.
-
This is one of those things that would never happen today (hopefully). Can you imagine Jeff Bezos having his own force?
-
@KITT222 ?
-
@Armith-Vala
@KITT222 is teasing some new Oppo merchandise... -
-
@KITT222 Oh good I was looking for 1 for the Honda.
-
@CarsOfFortLangley shhhh he could probably buy CP and/or CN with his sofa change.
Hmmm using coppers to buy coppers
