General stuff and things

Got the truck back together and running today thanks to some new studs. Had to take a wire brush to clean some threads and after getting everything on I realized I forgot to put the accelerator cable back on. Pretty uneventful other than that.
Filled up the fuel bowl and it fired right up after a couple cranks and fuel got in all the orifices. Let it idle briefly and took it for a very quick drive around the hood where it promptly died. I think it was just the battery dying on me since it’s pretty old itself and I haven’t drove the truck in at least a month. Fired right up after it died.
Of course I’ll have to check tomorrow if there is fuel in the bowl since that leak was one of the main reasons for this fix. I didn’t see it leaking anywhere so yet again my hopes are high. I want to cross engine things off the list before I head in to the rest of it. Now that the weather is nice I need to get to fixing the e-brake cable and change rear brake drums while that’s all apart. Probably fix this damn seat first though so I can move it and not have to rely on 2x4s behind the seat to prop it up.
I also need new tires on the truck but that’s relatively easy, just drop it off, spend money, and have new tires. This is all so I can take the Subaru off the road for a bit and fix its fuel leak. Remove manifold, replace fuel lines, and fix whatever happens to break during that process. I won’t even get in to the body work mayhem I plan to attempt this summer.I also went to the doctor today and things are looking good. I can slowly use my back brace less and get in to physical activity again. That’s going to be very slow for me since it’s my back and it’s not exactly something you want to immediately jump back in to full activity a month after breaking. He did say I could go hit some easy groomers this season but I think I’ll wait until the season comes back around

@PowderHound Good news on the back healing up! Definitely take it slow and let it get stronger and heal.
Also hope you've got your fueling/rough running issue licked.
