NICE...Final Bid

@Tripper nice
(I've driven an e39 M5, they're excellent, not $70k worth to me though. That e34 though...)
-
That's fucking wild. My friend Kris sold one on DougsandFeatures not that long ago for like... Less than half of that. Same car.
I thought it'd go for 42,069 but it went in the 20s iirc?
:Edit: yeah 25.5 for his, a mint 2000.
-
@MM54 yeah and you definitely don’t have to spend 70k to get a good one. I’ve driven several and they’re still my favorite “big car” by a large measure.
The Dinan bits are super pricey, but I’ve only been wowed by dinan on cars that have the full suspension build out which is also crazy money.
-
@derp How many miles? 25-35k is what I'd expect to spend on one with a little diligence/patience.

@Tripper Nice
What do you think that M5 Touring will climb to? What a beauty. -
@derp Damn, yeah I honestly like his a lot better. I feel like people get super turned off from 80k miles onward definitely by 100k which is dumb. I'd much rather one with 80k miles or more there are a lot of expensive maintenance items from 50-80k and the price premium for a lower milage car is far more than you'd spend on fixing up/maintaining a higher milage car.
-
@BeaterGT 60-70k+
-
@Tripper Driven and maintained always makes for a more enjoyable car (as opposed to a more profitable flip).
-
Oomph that E34
-
Oh my that E34 wagon is so, so excellent. 340hp n/a inline 6 rwd limited slip diff green wagon. I can feel my heart rate increase when I look at it. It's such a perfect "old school" BMW and yet I could drive it every day for the rest of my life and probably still love it.
I want it.
-
@Tripper That's one hot wagon...

Oooooh, baby, come to daddy!
That right there is Peak BMW.
-
@Tripper That E34 is THE SEXIEST thing I've seen today.
-
-
@MM54 Not in the position to bid and having done no Googling, seems if the e34 goes for anywhere around 45-50K, will be worth it very soon.
-
@Tripper I have no tolerance for modern BMWs, but that E34 M5 Estate is the stuff my dreams are made of.
