‘Put a ring on it’
-
I appreciate that there aren’t a great quantity of jewellery related posts on Oppo, but if you wouldn’t mind sticking with me I’d much appreciate.
I don’t wear
muchany jewellery. No necklaces, earrings and the only thing adorning my wrists is an Apple Watch. But I quite fancied a ring of some description - pretty, not all that restrictive and potentially fashionable (I don’t really do fashion).This is what my mum ordered me…
It’s pretty, fits (a good start) and wasn’t all that expensive so that
ifwhen I lose it there won’t be a massive impact - that doesn’t mean I’m going to lose it, it’s just likely.If you’ve got this far, well done. Do comment your thoughts below.

@Gabriella May be a stoopid question, but finger right?! Parents are getting more progressive... either way, very nice

Most of us are guys, so that checks out. I do wear a ring, because I'm married. I also wear a watch, though I don't count that as jewelry. I did buy my wife this emerald necklace as a wedding present, she seems to like it as she wears it almost
every day.

@Gabriella Nice work mum

Unless you're wearing a Casio F-91W, wristwatches are definitely jewelry for guys
-
i have 4 gauge plugs through my earlobes, but other than that i don't wear jewelry (outside of a watch). I got my wife's initials tattooed on my ring finger where a ring would go.
-
@e90m3 Some men are into jewelry.
-
@Gabriella
that’s all I got @e90m3
Although I can relate to the ring losing… on the day I proposed to my wife it was snowy out and we went out sledding. Took about 3 runs to lose her new ring in the snow

@WasGTIthenGTOthenNOVAthenGTInowA4 Ahh it's the mythical Uncle Shark.

@Gabriella
Maybe not a lot of jewelry here, but lots of watch aficionados, and that's very similar. This is a sympathetic audience.I also don't wear much other than my wedding ring and my watch, which currently is the one from my dad who just passed.
-
@Gabriella Rings are relatively easy to use daily compared to other fancy items. This is pretty much the only kind of jewelry I can get my wife, so she can haz a bunch of rings on a bunch of fingers.
-
-
@Gabriella I don't wear much jewelry, except this:
-
Pro Tip: Take the ring off when working with, or near, your battery.
-
I don't wear any sort of jewelry, I'm constantly working with my hands and it's dangerous. Also, I hate jewelry
-
Have you considered getting an extra one with an L on it for backhanding anyone who spells it George Russel?...
-
@beefchips Nice watch! I love Skagen's simplistic design. What's the model of yours? I can't find one with that simple design here – all of them are gaudy and reminds me of overweight geriatric person, and priced for that market.
-
@tophercrowder Yep, firstly I wouldn’t be allowed that at school and secondly I’ve not even had my ears pieced yet - let alone my nose!
-
@Old-Busted-Hotness That’s advice I will take into consideration if I ever go near a battery
-
@zipfuel Very good! If I could upvote twice I would.
My middle name starts with L so it’s not too much of a stretch…
…but no chance because I’m not going to go round hitting people!

But knowing you could and are just restraining yourself because you’re a good person is so much better a feeling than knowing you can’t and wanting to
.
