I watched the first episode of "Halo", expecting an exciting dramatization of the development of safety equipment for open-wheel racing. I found the opening very confusing, but I realized that it was an artistic representation of the early days of auto racing and how safety equipment was trying to save people. I settled back on to the couch, but after nearly an hour I still hadn't seen a single race car, let alone any early forms of driver protection.

Halo's first episode was simply too confusing to provide any useful insight in to the subject of automotive engineering. Furthermore, I don't see how they're going to get from where the episode ended to present-day Formula 1, especially when a major character chooses to remove some of his own protective gear. I can only rate this show at 11 drumsticks.
